Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang | North Vietnam Package Tour 4 Days

At 8 am you will be collected from your hotel for departure to Road No 2 Hanoi – Viet Tri – Tuyen Quang – Ha Giang. On the way, we will pass through the undulating terrain of tea plantations.

We will check into a local village house and have lunch. After lunch, we will have a short walk around this village.

Meeting and talking with local villagers will help you understand more the culture of the Tay ethnic group. Dinner will be provided at the village.

Day 2: Ha Giang – Dong Van | North Vietnam Package Tour 4 Days

After breakfast in the stilt house, we will have a short visit of the Ha Giang museum before we continue our drive towards Dong Van plateau via scenic road with long passes and deep valleys. Stop for great photos of Quan Ba Heaven Gate and the Twin Mountain.

You will have lunch on the route in the small but beautiful mountain town of Tam Son. After lunch crosses an incredible landscape of pine forests and visit Palace of the H’mong’s king to learn more about the Indochina War and the life of the local people during the war time.

Arrive Dong Van town, we will have some extra time to wander the ancient streets lined with H’mong homes of clay bricks and tiles roofs built centuries ago, have dinner at a local restaurant, and spend the night in a local hotel.

Day 3: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Ba Be | North Vietnam Package Tour 4 Days

After your breakfast, we walk to visit the market of Dong Van, where the locals shop before returning to their mountain hamlets. It is also possible to see Fortress of Pu Lo, a site remained from Indochina War.

We continue to reach the top of the Ma Pi Leng Pass, drive on Happy Road through a gigantic maze of lime peaks, “stone forests”, and canyons unique in the world. Descending into the valley of Meo Vac, we continue snaking through the mountains, cross the river, and arrive in the village of Bao Lac, where we have lunch.

After lunch, we drive on a gorgeous small road snaking through the mountains to Cho Ra and then down to the Tay village of Coc Toc, where we stay tonight with a local family.

Day 4: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi | North Vietnam Package Tour 4 Days

After breakfast at the homestay, we will take a 3-hour boat trip, gently chugging around the lake. Don’t forget your camera though because today is a chance for some more great shots. If you need to cool off, do as the local kids do and just jump in the river for a swim.

The boat takes you by the slow-flowing river, gaze in awe at the dramatic mountains and valleys and natural caves and may enjoy a little bird and butterfly spotting.

After boating, we have lunch in the local house before heading back Hanoi late in the afternoon. End of all services of the North Vietnam Package Tour 4 Days.
